Please note, we are noticing that alot of people are using there 5,6 and 7 channel surround sound recievers to listen to music, this is great, however when used in multi channel stereo mode and played at a moderate to high level, excessive heat is generated. If you think about it, it's pretty logical, up to 7 power amplifier running at a high level, thats a lot of heat ! If poorly ventilated ,can cause the long term reliability to be compromised, or even worse, premature failure. Most manufacturers now are suggesting approx. 15-20 cm of clear space above the reciever.
